Ramsdens Holdings PLC are a financial services provider and retailer, operating in the four core business segments of foreign currency exchange, pawnbroking loans, precious metals buying and selling and retailing of second hand and new jewellery. Headquartered in Middlesbrough, the Group operates from over 150 stores within the UK.
We were commissioned to undertake and project manage the planning, design, artwork and printing of their 2022 annual report project.

From the early part of the commission we worked closely with Ramsdens marketing and senior executive team to establish the plan for production of the new annual report.
As Ramsdens are a PLC, our team had to coordinate production with a series of key dates to ensure receipt of the content and financial information was managed precisely and effectively to ensure public announcement of the report was achieved on time.
The annual report had to follow a rigid and structured layout given the volume of key financial information that was to be included. We created a defined set of typographic and paragraph styles to allow for regimented styling of the various content into the page layouts.
Following a very tight timeframe we successfully completed the design and artworking of the annual report ahead of deadline. Working with the client's data provider we then project managed the printing and fulfilment of the report together with associated AGM forms and documentation ahead of the roll out to shareholders and stakeholders.
With financial information needing to be changed on a regular basis prior to signoff we had to keep our designs for graphs and charts simple and easy to edit. Clear, crisp graphics were created for the financial information of the report whilst following the defined grid layout structure of the pages.
We have always used what would be deemed Annual Report creators because as a PLC we have strict deadlines to issue the Annual Report on our website and post to our shareholders for the subsequent AGM. We have known Dave at VIA for years and in pitching for the opportunity, we were seeking reassurance that VIA had the ability to meet critical deadlines and that in the final days before our financial results were made public we would receive the on call attention required to address the final amends as the audit concluded. Following production of the documents VIA then had to liaise with our registrars to ensure the printed documents, also outsourced to VIA, were sent to the shareholders with the right documents. I am pleased to say that Dave and team VIA delivered in all respects.
